Macclesfield Station is in the heart of Cheshire, which borders the beautiful Peak District. The building is perfect for a commuter station brief, and is in easy reach of the Midlands and the North-West of England.
The original station, dating from the 1860s, was replaced in the 1970s with a Brutalist-utilitarian building and currently has three platforms. With relatively low passenger numbers, Macclesfield can cope with shoots of all sizes.
