Manchester Piccadilly Station, the busiest station in Manchester, handles over 83,000 passengers and 1,000 train movements every day.
The station has been rebuilt and modified many times throughout its history, with the most recent completed in 2002.
Today, the station boasts an impressive, bright, glass covered concourse, multiple exits, staircases and escalators, and a glass partition separating the platforms from the concourse.
Though modernised and renovated, the train shed roof was built between 1860 and 1880, and is separated into four spans, supported by brick walls at platform 1 and 10, and by iron columns throughout the rest of the station.
