Preston - situated halfway between London and Edinburgh - is a large Victorian station which joins the east and west coasts. The current building was built in 1880 and offers period details and hidden features.
Although the station has 9 functioning platforms, only 8 are in regular use so a spare platform is available, giving crews more flexibility than usual
Applications for Preston require the completion and submission of a specific Virgin method statement template, downloadable here.
