Designed for huge numbers of visitors during the 2012 Olympics, the station easily doubles as a European or East Asian railway station, as it is a highly contemporary and is unlike any other station on the network. Two of the extremely long platforms, though busy are passing trains, are effectively disused so can offer a greater amount of control. The main concourse is at once light and expansive but also fairly quiet.
Stratford International boasts a large multi-storey car park, ideal for filming and is one of the quieter stations. As it is on the high speed route, Stratford International can be accessed in 6 minutes from St Pancras International by rail, is well connected by the Docklands Light Railway and is located adjacent to the Westfield shopping complex.
