Equidistant between Liverpool and Manchester, Warrington Bank Quay, is one of two stations to serve the city. Made up of two 'island' platforms with tracks either side , the skyline is dominated by the large detergent factory that overlooks it.
Having previously suffered with some years of neglect, Virgin recently invested in the station to provide new facilities, including refreshed waiting rooms, a booking hall and new lifts. Reachable within 1hr45m from the capital, it's a closer option than it might initially seem.
Applications for this location require the completion and submission of a specific Virgin Method Statement template, downloadable here.
