Alfreton Old Tunnel was the original portal linking Nottingham and Sheffield, and now sits disused alongside an operational tunnel.
Running at a length of 840 yards, the tunnel once housed a double-tracked line and is wide with a high ceiling. Three air-shafts are located throughout the structure. Driving through the tunnel is possible and although the tunnel is in close proximity to the running line, limited parking is possible at the southern end.
The tunnel offers great flexibility, making it a perfect location for driving or atmospheric sequences.
Subject to a minimum rental period. Due to the lead-in time and safety requirements for the use of these locations, only productions categorised as Band C are recommended to apply.
