The Standedge Tunnels are 3.5 miles long in a straight line, and with two disused parallel chambers, they are an amazing find.
The tunnels are constructed of unlined brick and are wide enough for single vehicles, with a small passing place at the midway point. Refuges and access portals for maintenance are placed at regular intervals. The road surface is good and solid, with some areas surfaced with shingle to assist with drainage. As the two available tunnels are separated from our network, some parking at either end is available.
Perfect for driving and atmospheric sequences.
Subject to a minimum rental period. Due to the lead-in time and safety requirements for the use of these locations, only productions categorised as Band C are recommended to apply.
