Alfreton old tunnel
Alfreton old tunnel originally linked Nottingham and Sheffield. It now sits disused alongside an operational tunnel.
Running at a length of 840 yards (just over 750 metres), the tunnel once housed a double-tracked line which explains its width and high ceiling. Three air-shafts are located throughout the structure.
Driving through the tunnel - which is close to the running line - is possible. There is limited parking at the southern end.
The tunnel is the perfect location for driving or atmospheric sequences.
Subject to a minimum rental period. Due to lead-in time and safety requirements, only productions in bands B and C should apply.
